Cécilia and Alexandre are siblings who grew up in Alsace, in a small village called Roppentzwiller. Cécilia moved to Stockholm in 2011, and Alexandre followed in 2023. After more than ten years in the restaurant industry, including at the well-known Bistrot Paname, Cécilia’s dream of opening her own restaurant and sharing the food and wine culture of her region in Stockholm began to take shape. When Alexandre moved to Stockholm, he followed in his big sister’s footsteps. With experience in the service and restaurant industry, it felt natural for him to join Cécilia on this new adventure and, together, make their dream of Maison d’Alsace a reality.
Here, traditions live on through language, culture, food, and wine. The small villages, vineyards, and family recipes passed down from generation to generation are a major part of what makes Alsace so special.
Our Alsatian cuisine is based on old family recipes handed down from our grandmother; it represents a style of cooking that is generous and full of love—featuring slow-cooked stews and dishes that require time and are meant to be savored. At our restaurant, you can sample wines from our family vineyard, among other offerings. The Weck family is one of the oldest families in Gueberschwihr, with deep roots in the Alsatian winemaking tradition.
